        NEWS RELEASE- ePetition e4507 tabled by Hon Melissa Lantsman

We are pleased to inform you that on the morning of November 2, 2023 the 

Honorable MP Melissa Lantsman tabled the ePetition e4507 (Civil and Human Rights) in the House of Commons (Canadian Parliament) . The petition was spearheaded by Shri Vijayakumar Jain of Brampton and Smt Ragini Sharma (COHHE) - actively supported and promoted by the Hindu Federation. The following is the text message from the office of the Hon MP Melissa Lantsman.

"Today I presented Petition E-4507 in the House of Commons, a petition signed by over 25,000 on fighting Hinduphobia to allow Hindu-Canadians to live here in peace, safety, and security like they were promised. Thank you to everyone who signed this petition - we will make sure the government answers."

It is important to point out that over 25,700 Canadians signed the Petition including several Members of the Hindu Federation and their congregations. You can watch the actual presentation both on Instagram and Facebook via the following links.

Several Members of our Community from Toronto traveled to Ottawa and joined a group from Ottawa to be part of this event. The photograph is shown below.
Raginiji, Sharma ji and Jay Jayaraman (Hindu Federation) were part of the team that were able to physically witness the Tabling of the Resolution.

We will continue to communicate with Hon MP Lantsman in moving this to next steps.
