Donation to Food Banks

According to recent statistics, each month, about 850,000 Canadians are assisted by Food Banks, and about 36% of those are children and youth. Those who are helped include families with children, employed people whose wages are not sufficient to cover basic living essentials, individuals on social assistance, and Canadians living on fixed income, including people with disabilities and seniors. About 64% of Food Bank users pay market rent.

Hindu Youth Conference 2014

The 2014 Hindu Youth conference was held under the auspices of the Hindu Federation on August 23, 2014 at the Erindale Campus of the University of Toronto. Muslim students Praying on Fridays in their school cafeteria

Based on the information that we have reviewed we see no issues with students praying in their school cafeteria as long as such activities are sanctioned by the school authorities. We of the HINDU FEDERATION extend compliment to all those involved on providing Canadian youths with the opportunity to pray. In these times when Canadian youths are facing many challenges of poor health habits, substance abuse, gang violence and family issues it is truly comforting to know that some youths are praying and have a place to do so.

India Heritage Festival 2011

The Hindu Federation will be celebrating the India Heritage Festival on August 13, 2011 at the newly celebrated CELEBRATION SQUARE in Mississauga. Th theme for this year is the DRUMS OF INDIA. Besides there will be live classical dance and music performances, Indian wedding costumes, fashion, desi magic, Bollywood singing & dancing, lots of delicious Indian food and kids entertainment.
